What is Computer Based Faxing

Another alternative to a physical fax machine is to make use of computer software which allows people to send and receive faxes using their own computers. As modems came into wider use with personal computers, the computer was used to send faxes directly. Instead offirst printing a hard copy to be then sent via fax machine, a document could now be printed directly to the software fax, and then sent via the computer's modem.
